Nitro Kennels, Breeders of Pure Elhew Pointers

At Nitro Kennels, located in Northwest Missouri, we breed only pure Elhew Pointers primarily for walking bird hunters. Occasionally, we will design, for field trialers and mounted bird hunters, a breeding that produces pups that hunt more ambitiously. Regardless of your interest, we have a pure Elhew Pointer prospect to meet your requirements. Our Elhew Pointers are distinguished by their outstanding conformation, exceptional natural ability, wonderful disposition, and superior genetics.

Our Elhew Pointers

Our dogs represent the finest Elhew breeding available. They are all strongly influenced by the incomparable Champions, Elhew Strike, and his littermate Elhew Dancing Gypsy, through their most illustrious descendants. Many of our sires and dams are closely bred to National Champion Elhew Snakefoot's most prepotent sons, Elhew Jefferson, Elhew Distinction, and Elhew Fibber McGee. The "blood" of Bob Wehle's great gun dog sires, Elhew Mr. McGoo and Elhew Sea Wolf, is also well represented in our kennel. It is the thoughtful blending of these outstanding Elhew genetics which ensures that a Nitro Kennels' Elhew Pointer will exceed your expectations.

The Next Generation

We look forward with great anticipation to the results of every carefully crafted breeding. Nitro's Elhew Showgirl (Rosie) whelped five pups by Elhew Nitroglycerine (Fib) on August 11. These pups will be fancy bird dogs who will hunt ambitiously. Nitro's Elhew Miss America (Morgan), whelped a litter of ten by Elhew Nitroglycerine (Fib) on September 17, and these will be outstanding gun dogs. Nitro's Elhew Golden Girl (Fergie) whelped a litter by Nitro's Elhew Seahorse (Preacher), a combination sure to produce capable grouse dogs and great family companions. Nitro's Elhew Isabella (Izzy) whelped eight pups by Elhew Mr. Nitro (Nitro) November 23.  Nitro's Elhew Beauty (Dolly) whelped a litter by Elhew Walking Tall (Jed) on December 13th. All our pups have outstanding pure Elhew genetics from the heart of Bob Wehle's incomparable bloodline.Early reservations are recommended.
